It is interesting to see in today's Sunday Star Times that Ord Minnett has picked Advantage as the only technology stock in New Zealand that investors should have their money on - which leads me to an interesting question about ITC (which I thought would also have been a logical inclusion). Are we, as investors, being sucked in by the hype, regular issue of media statements by ITC's never ceasing PR machine, the timely visits of certain types from the US, the obsession with a sporting e-tool (Virtual Spectator)etc etc when at the end of the day, the company has not been included in the same league as Advantage. And by virtue of omission, can we conclude that Ord Minnett (a respectable sharebroking firm) has grouped ITC with all the other NZ tech stocks who "simply don't cut it" as stated in the article? I realise there will be an army of ITC supporters immediately flaying their fingers on their keyboards to reply to this e-mail but the above was reported in today's Sunday Star Times and I thought I'd bring it to the attention of all Sharechat readers who may not get the opportunity to get a copy.
