[sharechat] Future "banks" of Watson & Tindall
Lorraine,
Eric Watson and Stephen Tindall are planning to set up their own "banks".
Watson is planning a bid for Dunedin-based Frontline Finance Holdings with the
aim of creating a $440 million company. He proposes to merge Frontline, which
has assets of more than $140 million with the Pacific Retail Finance and BSG
Finance interests of his vehicle Cullen Investments.
Watson's proposal is fully documented but has not been presented to Frontline's
shareholders yet. Tie-ins are expected with Watson's other business interests
such as Elders Rural Finance and Flying Pig
On the other hand, Tindall's "The Warehouse" is working on a top-secret project
with ANZ to launch into internet banking. The company's website page had been
temporarily suspended but souces indicated that the internet banking project is
getting close to launch date.
Cheers,
Frank Fernandez
