John: Love the graphics. Regarding the message board splits, I agree, we're not big enough to fragment it too much. However, as in previous postings, I would like to see some concentrated discussion on investment philosophies, my particular interest being in selecting quality stocks to buy and hold vs speculation. Mark commented that there are only 40 postings a day but how many non contributors are there out there? Maybe I'm a very small minority. One last comment to fire out there, what would peoples reactions be to us, as a community, creating a couple of "virtual" portfolios, an online shareclub type deal. Buys and sells are discussed openly and decisions based on popular consensus. This concept might cause some real fireworks amongst the traders and speculators but it could be a valuable exercise for the longer term investor. The idea might get shot down in flames because it could be a logistical nightmare for Ben to set up but am interested to here your response. Cheers for now, Brian -----Original Message----- From: Wedde, John <john.wedde@cit.ac.nz> To: 'sharechat@sharechat.co.nz' <sharechat@sharechat.co.nz> Date: Tuesday, 8 February 2000 14:54 Subject: RE: [sharechat] new message boards -NZ and Aussie Stock Markets >Yes, I agree with Mike.
