I think the performance of the NZSE40 is very much a reflection of the NZ economy (do I state the obvious). How many new listings on NZSE in last 12 months (I can only think of contact and it was not a new business or expanding existing business). How many times have you read about a new factory opening in NZ ? (I can't think of any).

 

Have you transferred funds to ASX in last three months ? I'm up 10% on currency alone.

 

Why do we keep talking about AQL ? Because theres not much else with the potential here to give a good % gain.

 

Sorry a bit negative off to Sydney for a break next week.

Hmmm... NZSE doesn't seem to getting anywhere in recent weeks. With the trading activities like today's, and the talks that many members of this forum are switching funds into ASX, NZSE is becoming an endangered species. Out of good heart, ASX may consider to take over NZSE to help out the little brother across the Tasman. Or some of the brokerage firms in Oz may want to extend their on-line trading services to NZ residents. I wonder what the members of the NZSE Board are thinking right now...
