In the absence of any other comments, my guess would be that the shareprice
was depressed a bit with the uncertainty regarding the FEDs interest rate
announcement mid week.
Since it was the expected 0.25%, the price took off. 
At $8.30 they looked very cheap given the strength of the company.
Also, there was probably some interest from Asia given their
good press there recently.
