I've had a few funny things happen with holder numbers too (for an Aust
share), but for me the cause was fairly obvious... I had changed
address between purchases so I was on the registry twice - once for
each address.  So I was receiving two copies of everything the
company sent out until I wrote to them and asked them to consolidate the
holdings.  I'm guessing that this happens a lot...?
