While their e-commerce strategy has yet to be made public, a friend of my brothers girlfriend knows a computer consultant who works in the knowledge economy who is in the know. Apparently Affco are in the closing stages of discussions with a major internet company with growth rates in excess of 500%. The two companies plan to launch a service known as Sheepnet E-commerce Network b2B Solutions International. This enterprise will give out free internet access with every purchase of meat. Using the latest in technology, the website for this company will be written into each Affco product, so while you are eating it, a blue ray of light is transmitted to your cutlery, and the website is continually advertised to you each time you take a bite. Longer term, the companies aim is to stop selling meat completely, as the directors believe that they carry a risk of producing earnings if they continue to do this. To ensure that the company makes a loss, all Affco products will be given away, however, Directors ask that you visit their website 20 times a day so they can boast about their hit count. The Directors do advise, however, that you shouldn't judge the company on its revenues, but on the number of website visitors and on how the blue ray of light on your cutlery makes you feel all warm and fuzzy. Finally, the company will issue 20 trillion options to Directors. Cheers, Phil (gosh, i better start buying, the share price will be 6 bucks after that... :> ) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- To remove yourself from this list, email sharechat-request@sharechat.co.nz with "unsubscribe" in the body of the message, or use the unsubscription form at http://www.sharechat.co.nz/forum.html.
