Despite the fall in Telecom's shareprice, I still have two problems: 1) There is not much more room for growth in NZ, hence its move into AAPT. However, as that play has shown, it seems very difficult, and expensive, to diversify out of NZ. From this point of view, surely now Telstra looks the best of the two for long term value. 2) I had a lot of respect for Roderick Deane, who was a good 'financial' man. His replacement, and I can't off the top of my remember her name (Gattung, or something), however, has a marketing background, which scares the pants off me. In my experience, marketers are not good with money!!! They only have the most rudimentary knowledge of financial/investment concepts, and tend to believe that the money (for the next campaign) grows on trees. ???? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- To remove yourself from this list, email sharechat-request@sharechat.co.nz with "unsubscribe" in the body of the message, or use the unsubscription form at http://www.sharechat.co.nz/forum.html.
